Abbie Badcock-Broe is the Head of Corporate, UK and Decarbonisation Strategy at National Grid. In this role, Abbie is responsible for Board and Executive engagement on National Grid’s strategy, collaborating closely with UK business units and regulation teams on cross-cutting themes, challenges, and programmes. 

With a career spanning nearly two decades in the energy sector, Abbie has held various roles in strategy, consulting, corporate development, project management, business development, policy, and market analysis. She has experience working across Renewables, Energy Retail, Infrastructure and System Operations. She studied Complexity during her International Politics and Policy degree, and is passionate about shaping a sustainable future. 

Anthony Ogogo is an Olympic medallist, winning a bronze at London 2012. He’s a professional wrestler signed to huge American promotion All Elite Wrestling. He’s also a podcaster, actor and model.

Anthony won 10 English / British championships in his illustrious boxing career including 2 senior ABA champions and the first ever GB championships. He represented England and Great Britain well over 100 times, often captaining the England and GB squads at major championships.

In 2019 Anthony signed with the new and exciting professional wrestling company All Elite Wrestling, backed by Fulham FC and Jacksonville Jaguars supremo Tony Khan. Carl Gurney has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years and specifically in the renewable energy sector for 19 years. He has sat on advisory boards and steering groups, whilst also consulting on policy and permits with government and regulators. Carl has written a number of articles and spoken at numerous events explaining the important role the insurance industry plays in helping to mitigate climate change and securing energy security.

Chris Clowes is a Reform candidate for the Rutland and Stamford area. During his career, he has studied at Motorsport University, working with the European Parliament before doing various consultancy roles in the net zero and carbon space.

During his tenure in Brussels, Clowes championed rural interests across Europe and realized the scarcity of voices advocating for sensible countryside policies. He had hoped that Brexit would lead to a departure from stringent continental climate targets and metropolitan preferences.

As a motorsport engineer, Clowes is critical of Labour councils that impose ULEZ regulations and speed restrictions, which he argues are unscientific and detrimental to working people. 

Claire Lish is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, Certified Business Psychologist, Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and award-winning HR leader with over 20 years' experience in organisational transformation, governance, and workplace culture. Dirk Singer writes and works at the frontlines of climate tech and aviation’s push for net zero. Volume two will be released in May 2025.

Dr Carole Nakhle is an international authority on global energy issues, in particular in the fields of policy, finance, market development, governance, energy taxes and fiscal regimes as well as geopolitics.

As the founder and CEO of Crystol Energy, as well as an Energy Economist, she specialises in international petroleum contractual arrangements and fiscal regimes; upstream oil and gas regulations; petroleum revenue management and governance; energy policy, security and investment; and world oil and gas market developments.

With a unique breadth of experience, Dr Nakhle has worked with oil and gas companies (NOCs and IOCs) at the highest levels, governments and policy makers, international organisations, academic institutions and specialised think tanks on a global scale.

Jan has dedicated his life to creating a sustainable and efficient energy system, starting at the age of 8 when he founded an environmental group in his hometown. For over two decades of his career, he has worked tirelessly as a policy advisor, consultant, researcher, and volunteer, focusing on the transition to clean energy. He is currently the Vice President and European Programme Director at the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP), a global organisation of energy experts that helps governments develop effective clean energy policies.
 
An accomplished academic, Jan has contributed extensively to energy research. He is a research associate at Oxford, Cambridge, Sussex, and FU Berlin. His scholarly work includes hundreds of peer-reviewed articles, technical reports, and opinion pieces on energy and sustainability, which have been widely cited and used to shape policy discussions.

George Eustice is a British politician and former public relations executive who held office as Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs between 2020 and 2022. A member of the Conservative Party, he served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Camborne and Redruth from 2010 to 2024.

Georgina joined POWERful Women in November 2021 and oversees the management of the initiative. She works closely with the POWERful Women Board, energy CEOs and energy D&I Leads on the strategic development of the initiative and ensuring gender diversity remains on energy company agendas.

Outside of POWERful Women, Georgina is a founding member of a wider cross-sector EDI initiative, Tackling Inclusion & Diversity in Energy, has been a member on government energy sector taskforces, and speaks at external events on the importance of gender diversity.

Harvey Stanley joined RM Sotheby’s in 2024 as Director of Private Sales UK, providing his extensive expertise across the UK and European markets. Beginning his career at DK Engineering, Stanley spent 13 years at the company as a sales specialist and Acquisition Consultant.

An avid racer, Harvey has raced in many events in the UK and across Europe. He has raced with great success at events such as Le Mans Classic, Spa, and Goodwood Revival. Mark has over 20 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry and leads Capterio - a British company specialising in analytics and solutions for gas flaring.  

Mark worked in upstream exploration and business development at Shell International, before joining McKinsey & Company where he led many projects on strategy, operations and organisation. He was then CEO of the downstream oil and gas quality assurance business at Intertek, where he was responsible for global operations and strategy in over 100 countries. 

Mark has a MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge, a PhD from Liverpool, and a MBA from IMD. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society and a Fellow of the Energy Institute.

Marta Zumbujal currently works at Ikigai Group with a view to accelerating the energy transition through enhancing the bankability of net-zero solutions for the core infrastructure sector. 

She's also a guest lecturer at the Renewable Energy Institute teaching the Carbon Finance and Carbon Capture & Market Strategies courses. Marta has previous experience with renewable energy policy in the EU. She graduated from MSc Climate Change, Management & Finance programme at Imperial College Business School. Graduate Engineer.

Martin Lee, who has been co-running Birch Performance since 2018. Martin is an expert in supply chains and a lifelong performance car nut. He started off by selling race fuel to his friends in the performance car scene, as resellers for Renegade fuel. After a while he added Klotz additives to the product range. He started to see that there was a lively market for performance car supplies, so he added more additives - which proved really popular.

Jump forward a few years and he is running Birch Performance full-time. Now he, and his family, have a great range of oils, additives, cleaners, greases and coolants. Michael Shanks is the Labour MP for the Rutherglen constituency. He was first elected the MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West in a by-election. In Parliament he has campaigned on a wide range of issues.

Michael was re-elected to the new constituency of Rutherglen on July 4th 2024 with a majority of 8,767 (20.6%). He was then invited by the new Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, to serve as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State of energy. 

Michael obtained a degree in history and politics from the University of Glasgow and worked for a charity before retraining as a teacher in his late 20s, taking the PDGE in Glasgow.

Rob Gramlich is President of Grid Strategies LLC, a Washington DC-based consultancy focused on transmission and power markets for a reliable, affordable, and sustainable power system.  He co-founded Americans for a Clean Energy Grid, Working for Advanced Transmission Technologies (WATT Coalition), Advancing Modern Powerlines, the Macro Grid Initiative and the Future Power Markets Forum. 

Rob has been invited to testify by both parties before Congress, FERC and state agencies. He has earned awards from FERC as Exemplar of Public Service, the Energy Systems Integration Group for contributions to market design and transmission planning, The Hill Magazine for lobbying, and the American Wind Energy Association for Technical Achievement.

Rob previously oversaw transmission and power market policy for the American Wind Energy Association as SVP and Interim CEO, served as Economic Advisor to FERC Chairman Pat Wood III and Senior Economist at PJM Interconnection.

Ron is the Reuters Energy Columnist. He offers commentary on global energy markets and their intersection with geopolitics, the economy and every day life. From oil and gas to solar and wind power, the world's growing demand for energy is shaping governments' efforts to expand their economies while the world also seeks to decarbonize.
Prior to that, Ron was Oil and Gas Corporates Correspondent at Reuters since 2014, covering the world’s top oil and gas companies and their transition into low carbon energy. He has broken major stories on companies including Shell, BP, Chevron and Exxon. He also looks at the physical oil markets with a focus on European refining.

Steve Gooding succeeded Professor Stephen Glaister as Director in May 2015, after a thirty-year civil service career encompassing many transport-related roles, latterly as Director General of Roads, Traffic and Local Group at the Department for Transport. Steve is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK president 2021 and 2022) and of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation, a visiting professor at the University of the West of England’s Centre for Transport and Society (CTS), a trustee of the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund, chair of the DfT/Innovate UK-sponsored Transport Technology Forum, a member of a number Government advisory bodies, and a regular columnist in Highways magazine.
